1. Product information:

Nippon MATEX paint is a water-based paint and is specially formulated to have high color fastness. Nippon Matex paint provides a smooth, flat paint layer with a wide range of attractive colors and has excellent coverage, allowing for more surface area to be covered.
Paint type: Acrylic Copolymer Emulsion
Color: Many modern colors available in the color palette. We also offer custom colors upon request.

2. Usage:

Suitable for decorative and protective coating on interior surfaces such as:

Plastered walls
Concrete
Brick walls
Wood
Gypsum board
MDF board

3. Application instructions:

Surface Preparation

Surface must be clean, dry, and stable.

Recommended surface preparation:

Stains or dust: Wipe with a wet cloth and clean off dust. Mild detergent can be used during the cleaning process.
Old paint layer / Cement mortar / Putty: These must be removed using a scraper, scrubber, or suitable tool. Unstable surfaces should be covered with a suitable putty.
Humidity: High humidity can cause paint problems. Check the moisture levels before painting (using a Sovereign moisture meter):

Foundation: Moisture level should be less than 6%.
Wood: Moisture level should be less than 10%.

Check and treat any water infiltration thoroughly:

Moss/mushrooms: Remove with a chisel or scraper and treat with NIPPON ANTI-FUNGUS SOLUTION. Rinse the surface with clean water and let it dry.
Oil/grease: Remove with mild detergent and a solvent if necessary. Rinse thoroughly to remove all stains from the surface.

Application technique:

Use a brush, roller, or airless spray gun.

Paint consumption:

Theoretical coverage: 14.0 m2/liter (Paint layer thickness: 30 microns).

Dilution ratio:

Dilute with clean water:

Brush and roller: Up to 20%.
Airless spray gun: Up to 10%.
